Blackberry cake

This is a very important cake, it was the first one I made and got me hooked on cake decorating. When I decided to make my friend Kelly a cake I didn’t just want to make a cake I wanted it to be about the person it was for. Everybody loves cake but if it means something to the person you are giving it to that is even better. People’s reaction to it still makes me laugh, Kelly said ‘I mean I thought it would be good, but it’s REALLY good, like a proper cake.’ It was a proper cake indeed complete with a Blackberry, eye lashes and lip gloss.

Everything except the wire to support the butterflies is edible.
