Planning Your Wedding – Choosing Your Flowers
Being prepared: 3 simple steps to take before even visiting your florist, which will help you make the right choice.
Step 1: Collect as many images as you can.
Even if you are unsure of what you want, collecting photos of wedding flowers, will help your florist create the perfect look for you.
Any professional florist will be able to identify any similarities within the images you have collected. They will be able to see the things you probably don’t even notice. The things that catch your eye. What you are most attracted to.
Don’t over think this, your job is to simply select photos you like. Your florist will then choose certain elements of each image to create that perfect look.
Step 2: Budget
It is important to have an idea of your budget. Be realistic on what it is you are willing to spend. Your florist should be able to give you ideas on what you can achieve within your budget, without compromising the look that you are trying to create.
Step 3: Make notes of questions to ask.
One not to forget: “Do I get to see a sample?”
At the end of your consultation, and once your florist has a better understanding of what you are after, ask to see a sample.
This may mean that you will have to go back for a second visit, but it is well worth the time! During your sample viewing, be sure to voice any changes that you would like to be made, if any.
Samples are an important part of the process as this will not only reassure you that you and your florist are on the same page. But it will also put your mind at ease, and eliminate any unpleasant surprises on the special day.
